This summer I’m supporting figurative artist David Hanncock on a  Portraits of Recovery project. During three, six week blocks participants explore their journey from substance additiction to recovery through discussion, drama and portraiture. The resulting images are both extremely life-like and deeply personal, providing a vehicule to hone skills, increase confidence, communicate feelings and maintain focus.

An exhibition will take place in the community space at Gallery Oldham this autumn, to celebrate participants’ achievements.
