Pandemic#1: a mail art project
Made in 2020. Patchwork panel made of newsprint, hand stitched in ‘cross’ blocks and machine quilted on card. Collaged enveloped with hand embroidery.
Arab Puzzle: The Guardian The Sun, The Times
Made in 2016 (commissioned by ‘Absence and Presence: A Printmaking Project for Al- Mutanabbi Street’). Patchwork panels made of newsprint, machine stitched in traditional ‘Arab Puzzle’ blocks. Each panel measures aprox 21.5 x 21.5 cm
The Sleeping Green Between
Made in 2014 (Imperial War Museum North commission for ‘Reactions 14’). Patchwork section of 179 crosses applied to a woollen army blanket and quilted onto a cotton backing. Stencils of R.E. Farm Cemetery, Belgium painted in acrylic.

Made in 2012 (exhibited at Nexus Art Cafe). Patchwork of toy banknotes, machine stitched, 50cm x 50cm

Made in 2011 (exhibited at Nexus Art Cafe and Gallery Oldham). Patchwork of newspaper, machine stitched with cut-out scissor motif, 50 x 50 cm

Made in 2010 (V&A commission for Quilts: 1700 – 2010). Patchwork of 38,000 1cm newsprint squares, hand & machine stitched, 243cm x 160cm
Yesterday’s News (now in the collection at the Whitworth Art Gallery). Made in 2004 (highly commended Quilt 2005). Patchwork of newspapers, machine stitched, 73cm x 135cm
Knott Mill
Made in 2000 (for Castlefield Gallery, Manchester), Screenprint on paper, etched glass and shadows.
Deathbed
Made in 1999 (exhibited at the Whitworth Art Gallery Rites of Passage and Tullie House Museum Hatch, Match & Dispatch). Cotton and polycotton printed with cyanotype, machine stitched and backed with cotton wadding.
